Sweet Tooth Scale 3: Start date
Shortly after the release of the second season, Netflix officially gave the “go” for another sequel. But with this announcement there is also a small drop of bitterness, because the 3rd season “Sweet Tooth” will then be bring the series to an end
In a short video via Twitter, the main actors Christian Convery and Nonso Anozie announce that the series will be renewed in a final 3rd season on Netflix. This should also appear soon and then take us on one last exciting journey.
Sweet Tooth Season 3: Trailer & Pictures
The extension of the fantasy series for a final third season has now been announced by Netflix with a first poster. On this one you can already see that the deer boy’s last journey will take us far to the north, as he is surrounded by the northern lights.
Sweet Tooth Season 3: Storyline
So far, only guesses about the plot of “Sweet Tooth” Season 3 can be made. But the grand finale of Season 2 leaves us with some burning questions that a possible sequel should address and, ideally, answer.
Season 2 revolved around Gus and the other hybrid children being imprisoned by the Last Men and General Abbot. Here, a doctor, played by Adeel Akhtar, is supposed to conduct experiments on the children to find a cure for the deadly virus.
In the end, however, Doctor Singh went against his orders and helped the captured children escape. Outside of prison, they got support from Tommy and Aimee, which made the delicate venture possible. Although General Abbot’s evil plan was eventually thwarted and the villain defeated, the friends had to endure some serious defeats in order to succumb to this victory.
In an upcoming 3rd season, the journey will probably continue towards Alaska, because this is where Gus’ mother Birdie is supposed to be staying. Is she the key to the mystery behind the origin of the children and also the mysterious illness? Also, after General Abbot’s death, a new villain, Mrs. Zhang, could be right after Gus. It seems that she controls the two dangerous wolf brothers, who will still pose some danger to the group.
Sweet Tooth Season 3: Cast & Production
Although there is no firm information about a cast of season 3, but if nothing changes in the previous cast, we expect the following actors and actresses in a sequel:
- Christian Convery als Gus
- Nonso Anozie as Tommy
- Naledi Murray as Wendy
- Stefania LaVie Owen als Bear
- Adeel Akhtar as Dr. Aditya Singh
- Aliza Vellani as Rani Singh
- Amy Seimetz as Birdie
On the other hand, we won’t be seeing either Neil Sandilands, who played General Abbot, or Aimee, played by Dania Ramirez, in future episodes. Both characters died or were killed in the grand finale of “Sweet Tooth” Season 2.
