There is still no final release date for the Microsoft Flight Simulator – except for the rather vague "in the course of 2020" – but fans can still be happy: The minimum, recommended and ideal system requirements are known. We have all the data in the overview for you.
First of all: The flight simulator turns on pretty big chunk. You need at least 150 GB of hard drive space.
No wonder, after all, the mega project from Microsoft not only wants to simulate real-time air traffic between all 37,000 airports on the planet, but also the entire world. With the announced 600 kilometers of visibility, there is now a huge amount of data – but the published requirements look surprisingly moderate.

What is the internet connection?
The bandwidth requirements of your internet connection also increase, as you can see in the list. The reason is that "Adaptive Streaming"that streams parts of the simulation from the cloud to your PC. The faster your connection is, the better it works, of course.
An offline mode is also announced, but this comes with a few restrictions. The elaborate real-time transmissions of the real weather conditions into the game are then no longer necessary. In our Offline mode article of the flight simulator, we explain exactly what the negative effects are:
