Game news System Shock: a new seven minute trailer with a heavy and frightening atmosphere
System Stock has been relatively discreet since pre-orders opened in late February, which may seem surprising given the release planned for this year. However, there has been movement lately!
With this remake of System Shock, Nightdive Studios are giving a second life to one of the classic video games of the 90s. If the story doesn’t change, then a lot of changes have been made from the original title developed by Looking Glass : HD visuals, new controls, secret corners in the labyrinth of the Citadel station and a completely redesigned hacking system for the occasion.
In this new trailer, Nightdive Studios gives us a foretaste of the research laboratory in a completely revised version. During the seven minutes of the trailer, we feel the heavy and scary atmosphere that the studio wants to offer us. The relative calm, which isn’t very comforting, is sometimes broken by the sudden appearance of deformed mutants and grumpy cyborgs.
In this order we are asked ” How do you challenge a perfect and immortal machine? ». Because yes, your mission is always the same: take control of the space station and eliminate SHODAN, the artificial intelligence that haunts these places.. But as we can see in the trailer, she is determined to make our lives difficult and to eliminate us.
As a reminder, System Shock is slated to be released for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux through Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store.. A demo can also be found on the various pages of the game. no release date has been clearly stated, while the Steam page still indicates availability in the summer of 2021.
