The remake of System Shock should now also cause a sensation on consoles after the PC. If you want to play on PlayStation and Xbox, you can now pull out your calendar.
PLAION has nailed it today when it comes to remaking the sci-fi classic System Shock on consoles. The new edition of the action game, which was originally released in 1994, has been available on the PC since last year, and now PlayStation and Xbox have their turn.
From May 21, 2024, the title will also be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Then you can also enjoy an extended ending, a new female hacker protagonist and more. The remake wants to combine the gameplay of the original with new HD graphics, updated controls and a revised user interface. Otherwise there are numerous improvements as well as the revised ending on board.
If you want to take on the Shodan AI, you can do so on the newer PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The revised ending is intended to enhance the final confrontation with Shodan. The controls have been adapted to the PlayStation and Xbox gamepads.
The game is available in both physical and digital form for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S; the last-gen version for PS4 and Xbox One is only available digitally.
