When you face other Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple you will see that not all attacks are equally effective against each other. This is due to the types that the different Pokémon have, which is why we have prepared a guide with a type table so that you always have it at hand and you are clear about what movements to use.
Table of types with the most effective and weakest attacks
Total there are 18 different types, among which are Poison, Earth, Water, Psychic, Dragon, etc. Some of them cause more damage than normal to other types, in the same way that they are also ineffective against others and it may even be the case that the opposing Pokémon is immune. For example, in the latter case Normal-type attacks will do nothing to a Ghost-type Pokémon.
You can see all this better in the table below, in which the numbers that appear mean the following:
- x0: will not do any damage to the Pokémon.
- x0.5: the attack is ineffective and deals half damage.
- x1: Attack deals standard damage.
- x2: The attack is very effective and deals double damage.
In turn, those who have a double type may have their damage multiplied by 0.25 or by 4 depending on the attack used if it is ineffective or very effective against both.
