It now appears that the second hypothesis was correct. In fact, Tag Heuer has just updated its website with all the information about this watch. And his name sets the tone: TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario.
Behind this name there is a connected watch from Tag Heuer that runs on Watch OS and which has added functions related to the Nintendo mascot. For those who want to monitor their physical activity with smartwatches, an application tracks the steps of a day and displays Mario-related animations at each level reached.
For a goal of 10,000 steps per day, Mario receives a Super Mushroom 2,500 steps, he leaves his famous pipe 5,000 steps, takes a Super Canvas 7,500 steps back and reaches the famous 10,000-step flag.
