This week will be extremely exciting for all fans of video games. Not only stand with the Summer Games Fest and the big Xbox Gaming Show two of the biggest gaming events of the year before, some really exciting games will also appear on Steam. We’ll tell you which ones you should keep a particularly close eye on.
Highlight of the week: The Cycle: Frontier
The Cycle Frontier: Risk everything in this new shooter
Genre: Multiplayer-Shooter | developer: Yager | Release: 8. June 2022 | Preis: Free2Play
With The Cycle: Frontier, the long-awaited and probably also the first serious competitor to the hardcore shooter has finally appeared Escape from Tarkov
What’s the matter? Similar to Hunt: Showdown and the already mentioned Tarkov, The Cycle: Frontier belongs to the comparatively new genre of survival/raid/extraction shooters – no genre designation has really prevailed here yet.
A typical game looks like this anyway: You land on a random location on a huge map, collect loot hidden in the world, kill Ki opponents and then flee back to your base.
Provided that other players don’t put a spanner in the works. These can be lurking anywhere, especially popular campsites are the extraction points. If you bless this in time, you will not only lose any collected loot, but also your equipment.
Thrills are guaranteed here. You can read in our preview why The Cycle is still much more beginner-friendly than the heavyweight Escape from Tarkov:
