Team17 announces a new Worms for 2020. Watch its trailer!

Explosions, animals and the most crazy weapons, all with worms as protagonists. Undoubtedly, Team17 knew how to shape a very special IP with the launch of the first Worms back in 1995. Since then, the formula has evolved with each new installment and, now, promises to do the same with a new game. 25 years after its birth the saga Worms returns with a new game in 2020

After the launch of Worls WMD, whose version for Switch we analyze here, the IP has remained silent until this week. With a simple teaser trailer in which they review their trajectory, they have confirmed that they return in 2020 with new game, and that they will not lose an iota of that humor that characterizes them so much.

At the moment, it is unknown what will be the news of this delivery that is about to arrive. Team17 did not want to go into details, but it has confirmed that there will be «New worms and new ways of playing»

. In fact, in the promotional video itself they show a new design for these characters, while breaking with everything done so far.

Will it mean that there are big changes on the way? In their Twitter account they have accompanied the Worms 2020 teaser with a clear text: «Get ready to play Worms like never be fore!»

. They may want to draw a turning point for the 25th anniversary of the franchise, although now it remains to be seen if they make the new formula just as addictive and fun as it has been for so many years.
