It’s great that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom allows you to visit any location in Hyrule just setting your mind to it, but that doesn’t translate into being able to complete every possible objective at that point. my adventure to Green It was to visit a place that I have a fondness for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, although I did not expect that the shot would backfire on me.
Hello and goodbye, Kakariko
Having overcome the trauma of the Dawn Plateau along with the dark underground, I set off in the direction of the Twin Peaks. My memory still held the location of Kakariko and I knew that crossing the gap between the two peaks would take me to the post that rests at its feet. Turn left, follow the path and you would already see the inhabitants begin to show up from their houses. However, the very particular syndrome of this franchise invaded me along the way.
without eating or drinking it, I saw myself climbing and ascending the Twin Peaks, because there is an irresistible magnetism in the human being that requires him to reach any place that is above him. Yes, there is absolutely nothing up there, but something inside me was making me do it; at least I got a glimpse of a vantage point to unlock and thus clear a good chunk of the map.
Granted, Kakariko has changed because of the so-called ring ruins that are scattered along the cliffs that surround this enclave between mountains. Its origin goes back to the Zonnan, there are five in total and I can only explore four because of a damn watchman who thinks he’s smarter than me. It doesn’t matter if I’m talking to the handsome and vigorous Taurus or the handsome but timid Paya, I just can’t get past the roped-off area.
I read and reread the dialogues in which I am told that without Princess Zelda’s order I will not be able to pass, so the question arises: can I not move on right now because I have to progress in the story or am I simply not realizing the method that I have to carry out? As I ponder the question I find the innkeeper, a guy with less affection for his business than I do for sucking a lemon. A piece of sheikah that has to be dragged like a drunk to his establishment.
I have no idea what the flower crown that can be bought for five rupees is for, but I lose 10 of them using it against the guard who prevents me from passing. After making a fool of myself with the poppies and petunias, I decide to leave Kakariko and lose myself in the immensity of Hyrule. Especially when discovering that not even the fairy is in the adjoining forest, since now there is a hole with three pairs of noses.
a bland pond
What better place to discover than the Lanayru Swamp. The best and only answer is that any, but it is what is closest to my hand and at some point it was necessary to clean all the tasks that can be done there. You already know that enchanting landscape, but I will refresh it for you: several hectares of utter nothingness, beyond ankle-deep water. The bokoblin, lizalfos and golems roam free to annoy the staff, although all this allows me to continue permeating the mechanics of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
I haven’t progressed through practically everything that can be done in the game, so places like Lanayru are perfect for experimenting. The weapon combinations begin to be more logical, I take advantage of being in a wet environment to bring out their full potential and increase my melee combat skills. A good dodge always helps to pop skulls in slow motion, so I stick to it whenever I can.
And although Lanayru is full of generic camps that are useless for anything other than releasing stress and replenishing resources, I’ve had a good time. The occasional chest to discover, wells among the ruins of ancient settlements… there is always some small task to perform and the resorting to Link’s abilities is sure to be fun
Impossible to swim, it was time to ride the most unfortunate boat that has ever crossed water. With two sad planks and two turbines, I was able to surf without problems a space that, in Breath of the WildIt would have been impossible to beat. There is enormous satisfaction in having anecdotes like these happen, like a little boy playing with a couple of sticks and living for a while the greatest adventure of his life. Even the fact that a centaleon gave me the beating of my life had the grace of him, I must admit.
Where did I end up? Well, right next to the Twin Peaks post, my first original stop and that, now, I have been able to visit. Since Kakariko seems like an impossible mission for now, I think Hatelia can be a very nice city to visit. Especially now that it has become the fashion capital of Hyrule.
