Bandai Namco keep that Tekken 8 Much hyped, the brand new trailer tells the story of series mainstay Jin Kazama.
Last week we saw a new trailer showing Jin’s father, Kazuya, and the series’ main antagonist since Tekken 3. We see Jin in that trailer, but mostly he gets dunked by his dad. With this latest trailer, though, the tables are turned, as it’s all about Jin showing off his abilities. The stage set was again a very cool alternate universe version of New York’s Times Square.
Jin looks like he’s going to be a slugger like his old dad, throwing a barrage of punches, some of which seem to have some new moves. It looks like his Devil Jin form in his mobile set will also be affected a bit, which could mean that version of him won’t return as a playable character, but we’ll obviously have to wait for the full roster (plus there’s definitely There will be some DLC characters, like in all fighting games these days).
We’ll have to wait and see what the community says about the game, as no one has had a chance to play the game for themselves so far. Any concerns players might have are hard to gauge until no one has actually played the thing. Evo Japan launches at the end of the month, though, so there’s always a chance we’ll hear about the chance to try out the game soon.
Tekken 8 debuted last year, and we haven’t seen a ton of it yet, and there’s no release date, but we do know it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
