You probably don’t remember Reset. I didn’t even remember myself, in fact. Much has happened since his promising cover letter in the distant month of April 2012. Yes, a decade ago. Hence my surprise to see his condition.
Theory Interactive has taken the difficult decision to suspend development from Reset indefinitely. The reason? That the study is absolutely exhausted, both physically and mentally, as well as financially.
Its creators have done extra work in recent years to “pay time” and thus be able to finish this ambitious project in which they had “put all their hearts to create something unique.” And here it is important to remember that in 2013 they created a campaign on Indiegogo to finance their project, successfully raising $71,398 of the $65,000 they had set as a goal. But it was not enough.
They realized that they needed a lot more money to make such an exciting vision of this solo puzzle game… with a cooperative approach. Because our actions had consequences in time.
And it is precisely time that has ended up killing Resetseeing Mikko and Alpo, from this Finnish studio, giving everything up for lost and not knowing how they are going to return the money to the people who supported their project in 2013. A pity.
To remind you, aside from the first trailer from 2012 a few lines above, this was his extended gameplay which was shown in public just five years ago…
