Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is finally making progress. Following the recent announcement of the release date, a demo is now available as part of the Steam Next Fest.
It was obviously a difficult birth, but Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is slowly approaching the finish line. Only recently, a final release date of September 12th was finally announced for the open-world racer, which is set to be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
And now you can get your hands on it yourself, because a demo version is now available on Steam as part of the Steam Next Fest. However, you should press the accelerator, because it seems that the demo will only be available until June 17th. The demo only contains a selected part of the game, of course, but it doesn’t seem to be that small.
Included are:
-
9 of the 14 districts
-
the first 15 progress levels
-
16 vehicles for sale
-
another 11 vehicles in the test drive
-
18 vehicle upgrades
-
27 races
-
25 Quests
-
7 vehicle dealers
-
10 clan progression levels
A list of the vehicles available in the demo has also been published and there are already a few tidbits:
That should easily be enough for you to get a first impression of the game. Hopefully the numerous delays have paid off; Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown was originally supposed to be released in September 2022. As part of several delays, the versions for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch were later thrown in the trash.
