The release of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown does not seem to be under a good star. After the postponement to 2023 and the cancellation of the last-gen versions, there is now more bad news for hobby racers. According to a financial report, the game will not appear until 2024.
Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown was originally announced for 2022. As is well known, nothing came of it, developer Kylotonn Games postponed the game to 2023 and in the process also canceled the last-gen versions. If your engines are already running hot and you can’t wait to start, then unfortunately we have bad news for you.

In a financial report by the publisher Nacon Gaming, the first quarter of 2024 is named as the release period for Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown. On the official homepage, however, the developers continue to name 2023 as the release period. Of course, there’s a chance the site just hasn’t been updated yet.
Nacon himself has not yet commented on the alleged postponement. It is also interesting that the versions for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are mentioned in the financial report. But as we supposedly know, these were cancelled. So something doesn’t seem quite right.
Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown sends you to Hong Kong, where you have to decide: do you want to shoot around in luxury cars or do you prefer to join the street racers? Another interesting fact about the racing game’s fleet emerges from the financial report. Accordingly, carts from over 100 licensed car brands should be included.
