Nioh 2 acquire its second extension, Tnbres in the capital. While waiting for the third and last, we played it and we give you our opinion now!
Since Nioh 2 seems to follow the same path in terms of extensions as its year, it is now “usual” content that we will be entitled with Darkness over the Capital. Narrated.
Back to the Dark
It is with another journey through time that our faithful virtual avatar will find himself again projecting another era to meet Minamoto No Yorimitsu, a samurai from Japanese historical folklore. The Brawler is also found to be the bearer of the Demon Slayer Blade, and seems equally capable of summoning and controlling powerful Yokai.
We will of course help him in his quest to hunt down Doman, a powerful wizard of the dark side. With our new ally, it will be a question of tracking down the rascal in a burning castle, for a finale which, inevitably, calls for a sequel. This is a bit of an advantage with time travel: you can do what you want with it.
Can I serve you the same?
After a very, very short first main mission, with a corridor, three mobs and a boss, you will have enough to cut your teeth with two other much longer missions, with multiple bosses. The meter indicates a recommended level of 130, but in Dream of the Samurai (the basic difficulty), with a character level 170, some bosses could kill us in two hits. Tight, as usual.
Once the adventure is over, in a handful of hours, you will have access to several side missions, some of which should require a certain investment. To see the end of the demon’s dream adventure (the NG ++), you will probably have to have done well your bump in Nioh 2, well over a hundred hours certainly.
Nioh 2
During your journey, you will come across quite a few new heads. The first, a cart in which is a giant head, which will attack you with all its rage. There will also be a dangerous samurai – not exactly sexy in his kimono – and another crawling being, with worrying hair and eyes hidden under thick bandages. The cast of the Osaka mission of Gantz seems to come to life in Nioh 2.
In order to slay these new very ungodly, you will have at your disposal a new weapon, the claw point, to take you for Wolverine. This new gear doesn’t have crazy DPS, but insane aggressiveness and constant advances that allow you to stay in touch, even in high stance, and with fearsome guard attacks and multiple combo subtleties. Note also a new RPG side feature, the stone of penance which will allow you to improve certain accessories, under certain conditions. Well that’s all well and good, but now we’re waiting for the rest!
