Tetris is perhaps the epitome of the classic game and has been reissued several times since its success on the original Game Boy. The latest interpretation of the puzzle game now makes the jump to the switch.
As part of the Indie World Showcase, Nintendo has now confirmed that Tetris Effect: Connected will appear on the Switch. This is the current hallucinogenic interpretation of the classic gameplay by Tetsuya Mizuguchi.
This game variant was initially available exclusively on the Xbox, but this exclusivity now seems to be expiring, which makes the jump to the switch possible. The release date for the Nintendo console was directly named October 8, 2021.
Tetrix Effect: Connected is basically based on the Tetris Effect released in 2018 for PC, PlayStation and VR platforms. Compared to the original, the Connected version was given a multiplayer upgrade last year.
On the switch, all content is part of the game, so that you get both online and local cross-platform multiplayer as well as co-op modes at your fingertips. Switch players will also be able to gamble on gamers on other platforms.
