About a year ago, on April 16, 2019, a fire in the world-famous Notre Dame Cathedral caused significant damage to the building. In keeping with the anniversary of the event, the Ubisoft team is now showing sections of one VR tour of the building.
In the video embedded above, you can watch a little over a minute of a virtual tour taking place on the Reconstruction of the building based on Assassin's Creed Unity. You can not only see the building from the outside, but also its impressive interiors.
However, the virtual version is not entirely true to the original. Although the team originally wanted to create a perfect copy of the building, it was ultimately able to do so Copyright issues do not do. Therefore, some adjustments were made.
The studio does not yet say in what form Ubisoft will publish the VR tour. Furthermore, neither the platforms nor a possible price are currently known.

How did Ubisoft help Notre Dame?
At that time the studio donated half a million euros to the Reconstruction of Notre Dame to help. However, it should only start in 2021 at the earliest and last for about five years. After all: The tower bell rang on April 16 for the first time since the fire of 2019.
Shortly after the event given away the developer also has Assassin's Creed: Unity for a week, so that everyone has the opportunity to explore the imposing cathedral in virtual form. Because you can already explore them in the assassin game. But not in VR.
History course with Assassin's Creed
For the most recent parts of the Assassin's Creed series, Ubisoft released one Discovery tour, which is not about assassination, but about the real history of the old worlds. In the tour of Odyssey you will get to know ancient Greece, but Origins is all about Egypt.
It is still unknown where the journey of the assassin series will lead next. While the Gamestar community wants to go to Japan, Ubisoft seems to be sending you to the Vikings for now. At least some rumors indicate this. Officially, the developer has not yet commented on the next part.
