Spy couple Mr and Mrs Smith return for a second season exclusively on the Amazon Prime Video platform. After a first part released on February 2nd, this sequel will likely tell the story of a new couple.

The Amazon Prime video series was very well received and achieved a rating of 90% among critics and 70% among viewers Rotten tomatoes. The show caused a surprise by adapting it the 2005 film of the same name in which the couple was played by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (director: Doug Liman). The series is obviously inspired by the original feature film, but tries to distance itself from it. However, in the 2005 film, Mr. and Mrs. Smith have been married for several years and are each undercover so as not to reveal their identities to each other.
