The Summer Games Festival will return on June 10th (Thursday) this year.
The 2021 summer gaming event will start at 11 a.m. (Eastern Time), 2 p.m. (Eastern Time) and 7 o’clock in the US Eastern Time. The show will start with Weezer’s performance, and Weezer will premiere a new video game soundtrack song.
You can also expect to include the Day of the Devs independent display at iam8bit on the first day, and of course some world-class games and other game products.
This year’s partners include 2K Games, Activision, Bandai Namco, Blizzard, Capcom, Devolver Digital, EA, Epic Games, Gearbox, Hi-Rez, PlayStation, Riot, Sega, Square Enix, Steam, Ubisoft, Warner, Xbox and many other developers and publishers .
Organizer Geoff Keighley said that this year’s event is expected to be more “cohesive” than its debut in 2020.
The first summer game festival debuted in May last year. It is a four-month series of events, including news and games.
This year’s event will also see Valve come back with a demonstration event Steam Next Fest, and will also hold an EA Play Live event in July.
