In addition to the most classic heroes of the franchise, Marvel Studios will welcome the most badass group of the current MCU: Thunderbolts. The film will bring back characters very loved by the public such as Bucky Barnes or Yelena Belova, but also others not so loved such as Ghost.
However, it seems that the focus of this character, introduced in Ant-Man and the Waspwill undergo a significant change in this film. In an interview with the Philippine media The Manila Timesthe actress Hannah John-Kamenwho plays this villain in the UCM, explained that the character will undergo an important evolution that hopes to surprise fans.
“The last time you saw her, she was volcanic. She was blinking herself to death and she was in pain. Now she's in control of all that, so there's calmness, decisiveness, and a powerful breathing and rhythm to it. So yeah, you see a different Ghost,” said John-Kamen, acknowledging that his character has not been one of the most memorable in the MCU.
Although specific details about Ghost's role in the plot are not yet known, everything indicates that, after the events of Ant-Man and the Waspher arc will be focused on redemption, which will lead her to join a team made up of thugs who are trying to reintegrate into society. Thunderbolts will hit theaters worldwide on May 2, 2025.
