11 bit Studios, known for Frostpunk and This War Of Mine, have unveiled two new games, one of them of their own production, at the PC Gaming Show and sci-fi fans should take note.
11 bit Studios presented two new games that should take you to distant worlds, namely The Alter and The Invincible.
The former comes from our own production and leads you into a rather bizarre scenario. It is the story of Jan Dolski, a humble worker faced with circumstances and finding himself at a crossroads that will change his life. When he crashes on an alien planet and is stranded alone, it’s a matter of life and death: his only chance of survival is to find help. Not realizing the full implications of his decision at that moment, Jan creates alternate versions of himself to persevere.
Each age has different skills that are essential for success, but the player must take care of each and every one of them. Everyone has their own personality, shaped by their unique life path. How these paths of life unfold and what relationships develop – that is entirely in the hands of the player.
The title uses Unreal Engine and has been in development for almost three years, including the conception phase, by one of the three in-house development teams at 11 bit studios, which consists largely of developers from This War of Mine.
The second title, The Invincible, comes from Statward Industries and is published by 11 bit Studios. Slated for release in 2023 for PC and consoles, the game is inspired by legendary author Stanislac Lem’s sci-fi novel of the same name.
Why is? Astute astrobiologist Yasra wakes up on a distant planet and finds herself in the middle of a life-threatening rescue mission. On Regis III – an uninhabited, uncharted planet – she is tasked with the daunting task of finding the lost team of an interstellar scientific expedition that met an abrupt end far from home.
As Yasra delves deeper into the mysteries surrounding the disappearance of her colleagues and encounters incomprehensible phenomena, it quickly becomes clear that terrible secrets lie hidden in the dusty wastes of Regis III. There is no turning back for Yasra – and as she faces unexpected decisions and their consequences, her daring expedition must reconsider not only her own ambitions and prejudices, but those of humanity itself.
