The Star Wars Outlaws water trailer is finally available. This is an opportunity to learn a little more about the story and characters, with a wonderful surprise.
The next big Star Wars game is undoubtedly Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws. After months of waiting, we finally have a release date we can agree on. Everything comes in a new trailer, which is also very rich in information about the characters and the story. Fans will love it as the game seems to be full of details and references the entire saga.
A release date and lots of information about Star Wars Outlaws
The tension no longer needs to be maintained, the game is scheduled for August 30, 2024. This is very good news, because ultimately there isn’t much time left to wait to visit the galaxy. And it’s on this level that the new Star Wars Outlaws video is rich in information. We can admire several planets with very different biomes, including Canto Bight, Kijimi, Akiva and the windswept savannah of Toshara, but also the return of the famous and much appreciated Tatooine.
This will also allow you to visit two emblematic locations from the saga: Jabba’s Palace, which we first discovered in Return of the Jedi and which returns with great fanfare in The Book of Boba Fett series . And we can also admire the Great Pit of Carkoon, into which Boba Fett himself falls. This time it’s Star Wars Outlaws’ heroine Kay Vess who finds herself in a bad position against the Sarlacc. It remains to be seen whether she will also get stuck in his “stomach”.
A tradition that doesn’t change
With Tatooine in the spotlight, the game obviously leaves a good spot for Jabba the Hutt as an antagonist. Fans should therefore not be disoriented. A major villain of the game is also introduced and it is obviously the gangster Sliro who is trying to kill you. Essentially, this new trailer explains that the goal of the Star Wars Outlaws game will be to steal some of his wealth while escaping his clutches and Imperial tyranny. The trailer is also full of winks, especially right down to the appearance of a certain Han Solo… We won’t tell you more. And makes you admire everything. We can also admire cult weapons from the saga, as well as many vehicles. Enough to completely enchant fans of George Lucas’ world.
For the rest, in terms of gameplay, in addition to the exploration phases on foot or in a speeder, the game also seems to have inherited certain running/parkour phases that seem to be inspired by the Assassin’s Creed saga, the other very great saga License from Ubisoft. It remains to be seen how this all comes together in Star Wars Outlaws, which is scheduled for August 30, 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. The game is available to pre-order now and Ubisoft is even offering buyers two surprises: the Kessel Runner bonus, which apparently includes a speeder and a spaceship.
