Contrary to all expectations, Bethesda suddenly announces the imminent release of a major free update for Fallout 4, with lots of great things, especially for PS5 and Xbox Series!
As if building on the success of the Fallout series just released on Prime Video, Fallout 4 shines in new splendor. There will be a number of new features for the title released in 2015, be it the PC version, the PS4 Xbox One version… and soon the PS5 and Xbox Series too! We’ll break it all down for you.
Fallout 4 is being updated
Bethesda obviously hasn’t forgotten Fallout 4. At least it was fondly remembered with the explosive success of the Prime Video series. The title, which was released in 2015, will therefore benefit from major changes on April 25th. Among the most notable: a release on PS5 and Xbox Series, with all the joys that entails. The game will actually have a performance and quality mode as well as various fixes for the most stable gaming experience possible. However, to access the PS5 and Xbox Series versions for free, you must own a version of the game on PS4 or Xbox One.
The same applies to the current PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions. As for PC, Fallout 4 will finally welcome native support for wide and ultra-wide screens. The game will also use this date to become fully compatible with the Steam Deck for mobile PC users.
Lots of new free bonus content
In addition to a free update focused on performance and bringing Fallout 4 to new-generation consoles, the Bethesda title will also welcome a variety of new content. Among the most notable are various pieces of equipment from the Enclave, the evil counterpart of the Brotherhood of Steel. This includes new power armor designs and new weapons.
For fans of crazy weapons, other toys will also take the opportunity to land in Fallout 4. From the leaf blower to the fat man sending a piggy bank, you’ve got something to laughably spread terror across the Commonwealth. This new content will be available in the game’s Creation Club. In short, a very nice free program that Bethesda offers us while we wait for Fallout 5. See you on April 25th to discover all this and maybe you want to restart the game. Until then, you can find all the details about this major free update on the official page of the franchise.
