Airing since January 9th, the season finale of Attack on Titan Part 2 had the anticipated success. A true cultural phenomenon, Hajime Isayama’s work has said goodbye in its paper format but remains federated thanks to its animated series. This final season must therefore conclude the story of the manga, awaiting the hypothetical announcement of a movie that could take the form of a great last stand.

Based on the first part of this final season, fans should enjoy 16 episodes, one episode per week. So Attack on Titan will be at the center of conversations among animation enthusiasts for four months. In France, the program will be broadcast almost simultaneously from Japan (simulcast) on the on-demand streaming platforms Wakanim and Crunchyroll.

If we talk about it today, it’s because Crunchyroll has just released a powerful trailer that returns to the duel between Rivaille and Victory that promises to be daunting. Of course, to avoid any spoiler – which would be sacrilege as this series is a must-discover series – we won’t tell you who these characters are. What is certain is that this second part promises to be incredible to mark the conclusion of the legendary confrontation between Mahr and the people of paradise.

While the first three seasons were produced by Studio Wit, this last part was entrusted to MAPPA, who were already working on works like Yuri on Ice, Last Hero Inuyashiki or Banana Fish. It was a risky bet for many observers, especially since the series duplicated the so-called CGI scenes from Season 4. This technique – which consists of a combination of 3D animation and digital special effects – was far from unanimous, but initial feedback doesn’t seem to bother the MAPPA studio’s performance. Even if there are obvious differences to Wit.

Attack on Titan Season Finale Part 2 is currently streaming on Wakanim and Crunchyroll. To discover this wonderful series, meet every Sunday at 9:45 p.m. Compared to Japan, there is a time delay of 5 hours, since the platforms are based on the American broadcasting time.
