If you’re one of the Hellraiser 2 players who’s been waiting to see what Arrowhead will do once the automatons arrive on Super Earth, I’m afraid you might want to sit back and relax. Thanks to the latest major order, it looks like you’ll no longer be able to successfully get the automatons to break into the front door of the Hellraiser’s home planet.

Yes, the entire player-driven protest movement against balance changes, with the goal of getting the bad guys to Super Earth, has morphed into a role-playing movement in the style of Hellraiser, but it’s hit a roadblock – people who just want to kill and have no problem following orders.

Late last week, there was widespread speculation among those intent on debunking Arrowhead’s bluffing about galactic war that the studio had no new worldspaces and assets ready if the conflict spread to Super-Earth. New MOs emerged over the weekend, which have seen a key planet that fell into the hands of robots being recaptured by Helldivers.

“While our attention has been diverted by the Darkness, the Automata have crept closer to Super-Earth,” it reads. “We will not tolerate any threats to the citizens of Super-Earth, especially the senior citizens of the developed world, whose commitment to managed democracy has been proven beyond any doubt. The Helldivers will launch an attack on the Automata to drive them from Super-Earth.”

Of course, one of the big goals of the order is to regain control of Curia, the closest planet to the Super-Earth, which fell into the metal hands of robots and, as I mentioned before, has been liberated by divers. The order still has a few days to go.

So, for now, it looks like Super Earth is safe, thwarting the in-game protesters’ elaborate plans and leading some to speculate that Arrowhead may have brazenly stepped in to ensure the order doesn’t fail. On that last point, it’s clear that most of the claims seem to stem from players’ simple frustration with not getting the fun results they wanted, and there doesn’t seem to be much evidence to support them, other than the belief that the studio isn’t ready to go to war on home turf just yet.

Conspiracy or not, it looks like if you’re desperate to get in on the Super Earth battle, you’ll have to wait and hope that something like this shows up in JOEL’s mysterious plans.
