- The Batman, starr ing Robert Pattinson, was a box office and critical acclaim.
- A sequel and a prequel series are already in the works.
- Josh Hartnett or Joel Edgerton may embody the new villain Two-Face.
“The Batman” starring Robert Pattinson was one of the highest grossing films of 2022. That a sequel in the same universe would follow, despite James Gunn’s change of plans, was immediately out of the question. For the second part, which is currently titled “The Batman – Part II”, a new villain and actor could already have been found, as an insider reveals.
The insider is John Rocha, who runs The Hot Mic podcast with Jeff Sneider. He revealed that Josh Hartnett (“Operation Fortune”) and Joel Edger ton (“Obi-Wan Kenobi”) are shortlisted to play Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face. The video for the podcast can be found below.
Since the joker, played by Barry Keoghan (“The Banshees of Inisherin”), was already a villain in the first Batman film, it can only be speculated at the moment whether Harvey Dent will already become the villain Two-Face in the second part or just the villain Takes on the role of Gotham District Attorney.
Before that, however, the prequel series Penguin with Colin Farrell will be released.
