Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous should have ended last year. But apparently the DLC policy has paid off despite some rather disappointing content. Because surprisingly, Owlcat announced that it would fire a second season and bring three more DLCs to the people.
The first DLC has finally been released and also brings a completely new companion into the game as the first expansion. Since March 7, 2023 you can buy The Last Sarkorians on Steam and expand the already extremely extensive role-playing game a little.
The trailer celebrates the release with some impressive pictures:

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous shows the new DLC and the new companion
What’s in The Last Sarkorians?
Unlike the previous DLCs, The Last Sarkorians does not start at the very end of the campaign, nor does the expansion introduce an independent campaign. Instead, the content comes into play quite early and is therefore particularly worthwhile if you wanted to start a new campaign with a new commander anyway. Which, by the way, is definitely worth it, since WotR offers quite a few alternative routes through history.
These are all new features of the DLC:
- A new companion: You can add a Sarkorian chief named Ulbrig Olesk to your party. The companion then follows you throughout the game and, thanks to its shifter class, can dish out a lot in battle. And if you find him extremely likeable, you can even date Ulbrig.
- New class: Speaking of the shifter class. This is a completely new class that you can now choose for yourself when you start the game. Shifters are able to switch between animal forms quite freely.
- New area: The DLC introduces a new region that you can visit with your new companion. There are a few adventures to be had here and even some new enemy types.
- New Spells: And because there aren’t enough spells, classes and talents in Pathfinder already, the DLC even introduces a few new spells. A total of eight pieces.
If you don’t own Wrath of the Righteous yet, you can currently get the game along with many other reduced games on Steam at better conditions:
How to start the DLC?
The development team recommends starting a new game or loading a save for the DLC before going to the library in Kenabres at the very beginning. So the one where you save the storyteller. From here you can then follow Ulbrig into the new area. This is the only way you will have enough time to really get closer to the Shifter.
Otherwise, Ulbrig will also appear in your throne room in the third or fifth act, from where you can accompany him on his personal quest.
