The website bases its statistics on the information from the Red Dead Wiki. Tables already provide a smaller overview here, but the website is once again much easier to use and allows Comparisons between different branches of arms.
Which weapons are the best?
All 56 combat tools are listed in total. This also includes special weapons such as the Viking ax or all Colts that you can get from well-known opponents. The characteristics of the individual weapons include their damage, rate of fire, range, precision, reload speed, magazine size and the possible price in the shop.

As so often, the effectiveness of a weapon is of course always very dependent on the situation. So a sawn-off shotgun from a short distance will still bring you more benefits than a rolling block rifle.
