Almost four years after the release, the construction masterpiece Anno 1800 was (almost) finally completed with Update 17, which you can download now. With the new creative mode, a long overdue feature finally becomes part of the game and forms the crowning glory. In this article we give you a quick overview of the content of the update and the future of the game.
What’s new?
In addition to changes in balancing, some bug fixes and other small improvements, update 17 offers two major innovations: a creative mode and a stamp feature.
Creative mode: This is a separate mode in which you can build without restrictions, as much as possible. You have unlimited money at your disposal and there are no external influences that could spoil the building fun for you.
Stamp: With this function you can save layoutsto use them later or with other saves. You can also share them, for example to play with your friends’ layouts or to include them in your city planner application. The developers demonstrate the feature in the video:

Was that it with Anno 1800?
The answer is yes. Although the new update is the last to add major innovations, there is one but: In the course of the year there should be more three cosmetic DLCs
Annoversary will also be celebrated this year. The developers have one for that little surprise planned. However, we don’t yet know what it is.
