The Mistlands update lures us to new shores.
This time Santa is wearing a Viking helmet: On December 6th, Valheim surprises with the complete release of the big Mistlands update. You can get started with the full expansion now! So far, the update was only playable as a beta.

What’s in Mistlands?
New biome: The Mistlands are Valheim’s largest and most complex biome to date. Here, mystical creatures and mysteries hide in the dim twilight, just waiting for your Vikings to explore.
New Magic: You can now collect the magical energy Eitr, which comes from the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil. This gives you power over elements such as fire, ice and life force (ie, necromancy) – to control them, you craft special staves.
New weapons: A total of nine new weapons are included in the update, including the new Arbalest weapon type, a heavy crossbow that you use to knock back enemies. Perfect if you prefer not to get too close to threatening monsters.
New friends: For the first time there are NPCs that are friendly to you: The Dvergr are a new faction of the update.

Even more news: Black Marble is a new resource in the Mistlands update that you can use to build your Strongholds. The fortresses of the old dwarves, hidden in the fog, are also made of this stone. There are also two new armor sets, many furnishings, crafting stuff, a world boss and much more waiting for you.

To visit the new Mistlands, you must uncover a previously unexplored part of the map. Only then will you experience the new content of the update, so pack your axes and food and go.
