Delta Force: Eagle developer Team Jade promised some news for Gamescom 2024, and we got just that during tonight’s Opening Night Live presentation, which provided a brief glimpse into the upcoming free-to-play shooter that will be making an appearance at Steam Next Fest in October.
Of course, Hawk Ops has been in closed alpha testing for months, and only recently expanded to the West. The overall sentiment has been pretty positive, with many considering it a true competitor to DICE’s Battlefield.

Team Jade has been hard at work updating the Alpha since it launched, and just recently added more content. This version gets a new map, as well as a mode that’s pretty much Hawk Ops’ interpretation of Warfield’s Conquest mode. The Alpha doesn’t have a set end date yet – but we know it’ll last until sometime in the first week of September.
As for the full version, the plan has always been to release it in the first quarter of 2025. Instead, everyone is eager to know when the game’s Early Access period will officially begin. In addition to the Battlefield multiplayer mode, Hawk Ops also has a single-player campaign inspired by the movie Black Hawk Down, but it will not be available for free.
