An announcement that caused controversy, especially given the price of the console, since players have recently criticized the brand for the lack of exclusives and games, excluding remasters and remakes. In total, the event will last over 30 minutes, a total of 20 games will be shown “from all over the world”. The manufacturer has announced the color, there will be productions from PlayStation Studios, but not only that. So what can we expect?

This question is on everyone’s lips. What will be shown during this State of Play? At the moment, Sony has not confirmed much, except that a total of about twenty games will be shown, whether they are reserved for the PS5 or the PS VR 2. In 30 minutes, this State of Play could still be the scene of surprise announcements that could allow the PS5 Pro to demonstrate its strengths.
Finally the return of previously announced PS5 exclusive products?
In the gaming section, you should of course expect news on titles already announced. Confirmed for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, the PS5 exclusive Death Stranding 2 obviously seems ideal. Hideo Kojima recently shared a photo of himself playing his next baby, with a mysterious console hidden under a piece of fabric. So don’t expect an appearance from Marvel’s Wolverine, even if the chances of seeing DLC for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are higher. The competitive heist game developed by Jade Raymond’s new studio (Assassin’s Creed) has been particularly discreet since its announcement. He could do his best by pulling off a heist during the State of Play. One thing is certain: LEGO Horizon Adventures will announce its release date. However, it will have to feign surprise because the publisher made a small mistake in revealing the information in advance. It shouldn’t be the only game in the license to appear.
The American classification authority has actually left some ambiguity. During the event, a certain Horizon Zero Dawn remaster would be announced and we can imagine that it would go hand in hand with the release of the PS5 Pro. Reliable insider Jeff Grubb also hinted that this would not be the only remaster to be announced at the event. No, it won’t be Bloodborne, but it seems that Day Gone will soon benefit from a small facelift.
Third-party publishers in the spotlight at State of Play?
Partner publishers should make a splash once again. The possibilities are numerous: Silent Hill 2, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, Phantom Blade 0… there is no shortage of potential candidates. Square Enix, Sony’s historic partner, could return with some surprises up its sleeve. Maybe we will finally hear the announcement of the famous FF9 remake or a FF Tactics remaster via the Nvidia leak? We are leaning more towards Dragon Quest 3 Remake, expected for the month of November.
