Disney Dreamlight Valley’s big summer update is finally here, and with it two iconic characters. Here’s what it brings and what’s changing.
It’s the big day. Disney Dreamlight Valley’s new major update is now available on all platforms. A generous summer patch that brings new content, including two claimed characters, a new event themed around the current blockbuster, but also a whole host of adjustments and changes. We’ll give you a quick overview of all the new features in this June 2024 update.
Many new features for Disney Dreamlight Valley
After many complaints from the community, Mulan and Mushu have finally arrived in the game. A new door has opened to test your skills in a rustic training camp surrounded by lush mountains. Of course, in honor of the two newcomers, who have been elevated to cult status by lovers of the Disney universe, new friendship quests have been added in the Disney Dreamlight Valley. By completing their quests, players can earn a variety of rewards, from all-new to all-new style
As announced, an in-game event based on the current blockbuster Inside Out 2 has also started in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which will run until July 17th. By completing “memories” inspired by the latest Pixar release, players will unlock new emotion-inspired pets. Dear Remy will be expanding his delivery service to include repeatable quests that you can earn special rewards in return. If you’re not afraid to dig deep into your wallet, you can get your hands on a new, paid summer pack in the style of Lilo and Stitch, which includes a whole range of customization items that smell like summer.
What’s new in the latest patch?
Due to the update, some changes and adjustments are also available for Disney Dreamlight Valley, especially for the Editon mode. For example, if you duplicate an object, you don’t have to go back to the furniture list, at least as long as you still have at least one copy in your inventory, of course. The same goes for automatically replacing connected elements, for example by changing the style of an entire fence. The placement options have also been improved for the occasion, both on PC and consoles.
The interface of some menus has also been redesigned, whether for the Photo World or the Premium Store, for example. With the latest Disney Dreamlight Valley update, everything should be more intuitive and clear. Submitting your photos during DreamSnaps challenges should be less of a pain thanks to several welcome adjustments. For example, you can preview a snapshot before sending it, or see at a glance the objects associated with the challenge thanks to a filter designed for “Occasion”.
In a completely different register, players can finally buy and sell items to Goofy in multiplayer mode and, surprisingly, your lovely pets can accompany you on your visits. The Disney Dreamlight Valley summer patch also brings numerous fixes of all kinds and eliminates a number of bugs reported by the community. The patch notes are unfortunately no longer translated into French, but if English doesn’t scare you, you can read them on the website official page.
