Ominous trailer for Eve Online Eclipse announces dark times
In July 2019, Eve Online players had to face an unprecedented invasion: NPCs brought one gigantic and invincible fleet with yourself. This conflict is supposed to find its grand finale with the upcoming add-on "Eclipse".
The extension will appear in April 2020. And judging from the trailer embedded at the beginning of this news, the game world New Eden from Eve Online is facing dark times. Because the Triglavians no longer hold back, but send their entire fleet including mother ships against the players in battle.
How this interstellar conflict is decided is up to the players themselves.
What is the huge invasion all about?
With the expansion »Into the Abyss«, Eve Online got a new faction: The Triglavians. They are people who, after the destruction of the Eve Gate – the jump gate with which mankind entered the game universe – retreated to the unknown area of the »Abyssal Deadspace« with huge world ships.
The faction became notorious because they are the first NPCs from Eve Online to be able to attack players' space stations. This split the community: While some were happy that the MMORPG turned its own rules upside down, larger corporations – Eve Online's version of guilds – were only annoyed by the attacks after a while.

The balance of power is shifting
The developer CCP explains that the addon »Usher in a new balance of power« becomes. Events, new ships and weapons as well as adjustments to the balancing should ensure this. The players will therefore be able to adjust to similar extensive adjustments as with the escape frigates.
The developer is holding back on details. The Kick-off for Eclipse however will be a major PvP event that will start on April 6th. "The Hunt" is all about smaller ship classes such as frigates and destroyers. Your goal here is to shoot the escape pods from enemy players. The valuable implants can be left as a reward.
