Blob team Has responded to speculation that it is developing a new game silent Hill The series as part of its new relationship with the publisher Konami.
Fans of the Bloober Team found that the three projects the studio is developing—H2O, Black and Dum Spiro—have been funded by the European Union. So far, we only know that H20 is Layers of Fear 2.
Tomasz Gawlikowski, Bloober’s chief marketing officer, accepted an interview with IGN. In the interview, he clarified that the scope of the team’s project has changed dramatically since the funding application was approved.
“Online speculation based on outdated or incomplete information often leads to strange theories for gamers,” Gawlikowski told IGN in a statement. “We also applied for two other projects, code-named Dum Spiro and Black. After several iterations of Dum Spiro, we concluded that we are currently unable to provide it in a form that is appropriately sensitive to the subject and is commercially viable.
“In short, Dum Spiro is no longer in an active development phase.”
Gawlikowski also told IGN that “Black’s original idea was also shelved.” Although the developer “is still developing the game under this code name, it is now a very different project from what you have seen on the Internet in the past few days.”
This does sound like he is directly referring to the conjecture that the studio is cooperating with Konami to develop the Silent Hill game, doesn’t it? The series has never been mentioned, nor has it officially denied that the games in the series are under development.
We already know that the Bloober team is working with Konami to develop the existing horror series, and Konami has outsourced two Silent Hill projects, one of which is being carried out by a “famous Japanese developer”.
Since “Silent Hill” was cancelled, we have not heard any news about the series, so we hope that the Bloober team-or other developers-can provide an update on the status of the series as soon as possible.
