Netease currently goes haywire. Is this also affected by the new game of the former Director of The Witcher 3?

Rebel Wolves is currently working on the RPG hopeful The Blood of Dawnwalker, who is being created under the direction of the former director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Konrad Tomaszkiewicz. The studio itself partially belongs to Netease – and there is a bit of a saying there. Is that why the Blood of Dawnwalker is in danger?

On the context: Netease recently led to layoffs around the successful Marvel Rivals, but as a result there were other reports that some studios belonging to the company should no longer receive any further funds from Netease in the future. These would have to end their games with the existing budget.

Now the promising RPG epic The Blood of Dawnwalker is not necessarily well advanced, which is why the question arose whether the project is seriously in danger. Fortunately, the answer to this is: No, everything is good!

Via LinkedIn, Tomasz Tinc, Chief Publishing Officer and co-owner of Rebel Wolves, made clarity. He read the corresponding articles in which there was also a risk to Rebel Wolves. He says: “First of all: Thank you all for the warm -hearted news and wishes. The development of our game is progressing and we do not see any financial problems. The production of The Blood of Dawnwalker is completely finance and we work together with our partners and friends of Bandai Namco, the global publisher of our game to bring the first chapter of the Dawnwalker saga to life. ”

He also made it clear that the majority shares of Rebel Wolves are in the hands of Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and other co-owners who are in bread and butter at Rebel Wolves. Netease is only a minority shareholder.
