The fourth season of The Boys has just started and, with only four episodes, it’s already become one of the most exciting yet. Although the end of this season has already been announced, the universe of the series continues to expand, with Gen V like the first spin-off of this franchise.
And if you’re hoping to see both series come together at some point, we have bad news. Through an interview with the American media Varietythe showrunner of the series Eric Kripke confirmed that we will not see a union of the teams in the future Gen V y The Boys.
“I like the idea that there are threads and references that come and go, but not a complete team. I live totally in fear of the idea that you have to see both to understand the other.”
Kripke also clarified that it is not necessary to watch one series to understand the other. In fact, the end of Gen V left an interesting cliffhanger related to the original series, and the fourth season of The Boys It also included references to this spin-off, which has been very well received by viewers.
Even so, Kripke wanted to make it clear at all times that viewers are not obliged to watch both series. He will do everything possible to prevent fans from getting confused when following any of the series related to the universe created by Garth Ennis.
