The Callisto Protocol wasn’t as successful as Striking Distance Studios would have liked. But that doesn’t stop the studio from delivering the promised updates and upgrades.
The Callisto Protocol and the Dead Space Remake – Fans of sc-fi horror have it really good right now, even if The Callisto Protocol wasn’t quite as convincing as hoped, both in terms of quality and sales. But be cheerful, brave space shredders, there will be supplies soon.
Already tomorrow, Wednesday, The Callisto Protocol will get its next update and that will include a new game mode. As studio boss Glen A. Schofield confirmed on Twitter, tomorrow’s update will bring the game to hardcore mode, which probably means that the opponents will get even nastier and you may have to restart after dying.

Season Pass owners will also receive the Outer Way Skin Collection with a new outfit for Jacob Lee with the update. There will probably also be a trailer for the update in the evening, because Schofield refers to the time 7:30 p.m. via Twitter.
So far, Striking Distance Studios is keeping its word on upcoming updates and content. On the plan is the Contagion Bundle, which is due to appear in March. Then there will be Riot mode and the associated bundle in the spring, and story content will follow in the summer. The New Game Plus was integrated some time ago as the last addition.
