Do you know that? You’ve just returned from space, where you were chased by a murderous alien for 18 hours, and you think to yourself: Phew, never again!
We understand you only too well! But we have some bad… well, actually some great news for you: Alien: Isolation 2 is actually coming! So you can look forward to seeing the Xenomorph again, who has probably already registered at the gym to be in top shape for your next meeting.
We don’t really know much yet
You’re thirsty for information about gameplay, graphics and plot now, aren’t you?! And you would probably like the release date too. Unfortunately we can’t offer you any of this. But that’s not (just) because we cowered under the desk in fear at the prospect of seeing the alien again.
The Statement from developer Creative Assembly is simply stingy with information about the game. However, a release is unlikely to be realistic until 2026 at the earliestthat can be seen from the announcement. Nevertheless, the news from the development team is currently making many Alien fans around the world rejoice:
To our fans around the world:
It’s incredible that it’s been 10 years since we began our journey with the release of Alien: Isolation.
When we started development on Alien: Isolation, we had one core principle: We wanted to create a truly authentic experience that goes back to the roots of the Alien: franchise. A new story that captures both the atmosphere and horror of the original 1979 film masterpiece.
It’s been incredible to see your passion for the game over the years and how many people around the world it has reached. Your boundless enthusiasm, your excitement, your screams (!) and your iron courage in the face of the deadliest killer in cinema history are our greatest reward.
On the 10th anniversary, it seems only fitting to let you know that we heard your distress calls loud and clear.
And today, on behalf of our team, I am excited to announce that development has begun on a sequel to Alien: Isolation. We look forward to telling you more about this in due course.

This is how good horror works in games – How games really scare us
A Review: Why is Alien: Isolation so popular?
If you read the statement from Al Hope, the game’s creative director, you will quickly notice: There are a lot of emotions here! Not just among the development team, but also among countless fans.
No wonder, after all, the first Alien: Isolation is still considered a milestone in terms of atmosphere. You have to run away from a xenomorph on the Sevastopol space station and solve a few puzzles in all the hustle and bustle. As if that wasn’t bad enough, androids also want to get to you and in the end you’re nervously exhausted, but also somehow happy – happy to be alive.

But there are also people who don’t like the predecessor. We can already hear the coffee cups smashing on the floor in outrage. Alien: Don’t like isolation? A sacrilege for many!
We are not afraid to call you names: Dimitry Halley! Yes, you read that right: Our editorial director himself has little to gain from the sci-fi horror trip. And what is that? Our plus dad Peter Bathge also has something to complain about the game? Wow, Dimi and Peter, we are at a loss for words!
Of course it’s just a little fun! If you don’t like Alien: Isolation, that’s totally okay! For example, many people abandoned the game because it became too scary for them. Others, however, are bothered by the admittedly very leisurely gameplay. Ultimately, as always, it’s a matter of taste whether you cheered or shrugged your shoulders when you read this message!
