Not even a month has passed since the release of Diablo IV, but both the gaming community and the developers are already thinking about the post launch content. As reported by Blizzard, such content will arrive with Season 1 and is expected to land on Sanctuary in mid-late July.
It goes without saying that the community of Diablo IV has been researching like crazy to find out all the content that could arrive in the near future. There are several important questions in this matter, but what the new classes will be is surely the most interesting.
Diablo IV It currently has five classes: Barbarian, Necromancer, Sorcerer, Rogue, and Druid. They are all very interesting, fun, capable of completing the main story and reaching the endgame alone. However, many of us are already thinking about the classes that could arrive soon… or at least the ones we would like to see.
Vampire
the class of Vampire It is one of the most repeated in Reddit posts and social networks like Twitter. We know that in Diablo IV there are vampires (they are a faction) and that blood damage is very present in various classes such as the Barbarian and the Necromancer.
And how do the players imagine it? The idea is frankly good and more than viable, but it is still a concept elaborated from many opinions. There is no doubt that he Druid has served as an inspiration. I have chosen three possible branches of specialization among all the opinions of the community:
- blood branch to carry out a construction based on vampirism, on creating altered states and constantly recovering life at the cost of the life of enemies.
- breeder branch to focus the character build on combining blood attacks with various pets (bats or vampire lackeys), similar to what was seen with the Necromancer or the Wolf Druid.
- Vampiric Beast Branch to focus the character build on a vampire beast capable of taking advantage of its bloodlust to destroy everything, similar to what was seen with the bear Druid.
The ideas are not bad, but from there to develop a fully functional class in Diablo IV there is one more than enormous step. The concept is on the table, now it remains to be seen if Blizzard has it in its plans and if it will arrive at some point… as some rumors indicate.
Knight, Crusader or Paladin
the class of Crossed (also known as Knight or Paladin) has been one of the most notable absences in Diablo IV. It is present in Diablo III and many players expected it to arrive at launch… but Blizzard decided to do without it to give the full weight of the front line of combat to the game. Barbarian and the Druid.
Now, the Paladin is the class that all the leaks and rumors point to to become the sixth option when creating a character. If he follows the path we saw in the previous installment, then we are talking about a character whose mission is purify corruption. Son “righteous warriors, hardened by the brutal and endless combat against the evil that ravages the eastern lands of Sanctuary“, dice DiabloNext. The Crusaders are the elite forces of the Paladins.
His combat style is body to body and you can use light abilities to attack from a distance and protect both his allies and himself. It is what we know as a tank-healer. And because of these characteristics, it is the favorite class to join the cast in post-launch content.
Before finishing, I would like to add my own reflection, since I include myself among those who wish for your arrival. I’d like to see three specs split into Paladin, Crusader, and Penitent. All with access to carry two-handed weapons (spears, broadswords, long axes) along with a large shield.
- Paladin (tank-healer) – focused on tanking the front row and using light powers to heal/protect.
- Crossed (tank-dps): focused on physical combat and using shouts to effect effects on enemies and bolster allies.
- Penitent (dps): Focused on melee damage, causing statuses like bleed, and absorb life/avoid damage.
Demon Hunter
The last class introduced in Diablo III and another of the favorites of many players to join in the future. The reason is found in her style of play: “They are tireless vigilantes who execute their targets with a wide arsenal of ranged weapons.“, points out DiabloNext. Diablo IV has these weapons and so far only the Rogue can wield them.
His lore is interesting: “they are neither a people nor a nation. They have sworn allegiance to no king. They are nothing more than a vestige, an echo, of people who lost everything to terrorOn the other hand, their style of play runs parallel to their nature: they are torn between two resources, hate and discipline. Although it would not be my favorite class, Diablo IV it would be much cooler.
Monk
And continuing with the Diablo III classes, the Monk It is another of the classes that some players ask for. It’s not the most popular on the list, but it certainly has a good following. I am not referring to the monks in toga and church, but those who do Martial Arts and use the elements to enhance their physical abilities.
“They are holy warriors who channel divine power through their iron willpower. The techniques they master include surges of healing, mantras of protection, and divine force attacks.
It is essentially a c classbody to body and that they can help the rest of the team with cures. So what makes him different from the Paladin, for example? Its speed and maneuverability. We are facing a hybrid (more or less) between Paladin and Rogue. They use the spirit as a resource. Surely it would not be the most chosen class, but its fans would surely do real atrocities.
Priest
The fans of Diablo III sure they remember the Witch Doctor and surely others come to mind World of Warcraft. You all get it right. Diablo IV doesn’t have a class fully specialized in healing self and allies, and the Priest could be the answer. EITHER Shamansince we have jungle and swamp theme.
It’s true that up to Lv 60-70 he’s not really useful in his field and leveling up can get a bit of a chore in the higher worlds. However, I am sure that we would all appreciate the presence of such a class in the endgame activities more challenging, especially when we start our path in World IV at Level 70.
In this case, I think the specializations or branches should be Blood, Darkness and Light. All three types of magic already exist in Diablo IV and this class could use them to heal: Blood from vamp, Dark from heal by time, and Light from great heals.
Here are five classes we’d like to see in Diablo IV in the future. The three favorites are Vampire, Paladin, and Demon Hunter, with Mount and Priest taking a backseat. Now it’s up to you: what classes would you like to see in Diablo IV? Is it one of those mentioned or do you have your own proposals?
