We already know some games that will appear in Xbox Game Pass in August 2023. Subscribers can still test promising titles immediately after publication and discover a nugget.
Xbox Game Pass welcomes a newcomer. Quit Live Gold and hello XGP Core. A new offer that is neither more nor less than the old Boost formula, offering access to a small catalog that aims to expand slightly over the years. No revolution in sight, although console gamers regret that Microsoft hasn’t harmonized its offerings better. In the line of sight, the absence of online gambling is built into the subscription service’s classic formula when offered at the cheapest tier. The Redmond-based company will continue with its routine until there is a possible response to these complaints. With July coming to an end, we already know part of the Xbox Game Pass schedule for August 2023.
Games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass August 2023
Despite the recent changes, Xbox Game Pass continues with its usual routine. In recent years, the subscription service has become the flagship of the brand. Microsoft relies heavily on it and does not hesitate to sacrifice some valuable sales to increase the interest of its offer by offering its great exclusives as soon as they are launched in the catalog. The month of September therefore promises to be the greediest month for subscribers with the arrival of Starfield. While the Redmond-based company awaits the launch of Skyrim in Space, it continues to do everything it can to offer some day-one releases from third-party developers and publishers. This then allows you to have a vision of the Xbox Game Pass program for August 2023, which will be marked by the arrival of four new games, including the real Nugget Celeste and the future: Sea of Stars.
- Celest – 1Is August (Console, PC, Cloud)
- Everspace 2 – August 15 (Consoles)
- Texas Chain Saw Massacre – August 18 (Consoles, PC)
- Sea Of Stars – August 29 (Consoles, PC)
A future nugget available from launch?
Suffice it to say that the month of August promises to be very interesting. Fans of multiplayer experiences can discover Texas Chain Saw Massacre as soon as it is released. This new adaptation of the legendary film is an asymmetric third-person horror game directly inspired by the 1974 work. Players take on the role of either Leatherface himself or the survivors trying to escape their executioner. Sea Of Stars could be one of the big surprises of Xbox Game Pass in August 2023.
Since its announcement, the turn-based retro RPG has continued to capture the attention of fans of the genre. Between its alluring artistic direction, its classic but promising mechanics, and an old-school feel, the indie game has it all. It’s worth remembering that these four games represent just a portion of next month’s Xbox Game Pass entries. Further productions will be announced in early and mid-August. It only remains to wait for the next few days to discover the first wave of additions.
