Apex Legends may soon get another Titanfall weapon.
It's no secret at this point Apex Legend Developer Respawn has been reusing a large number of weapons that originally originated from "Titanfall" into the Royal Escape Shooting Game. After all, both happen in the same universe.
And, based on the files in the game, it's more of a method. In particular, the often controversial Smart Pistol may be back in vogue. Modder @ That1MiningGuy is famous for disclosing many Apex Legends secrets and revealing them through game code, and stumbled upon a strong recommendation for Smart Pistol.
That1MiningGuy found the texture and material of the weapon in the game files. Smart Pistol's main trick is that it allows users to lock down enemy players and ensures that they can kill enemies effortlessly-as long as they get a solid lock. But beyond that, smart pistols are almost useless.

The smart pistol appeared in two Titanfall games, but its Titanfall 2 iterations were much weaker. In response to feedback, Respawn transformed it from a traditional weapon into a limited Boost option that players can permanently equip, and you have to work hard for that.
Still, many in the Titanfall community still believe that putting such a high-skilled game first is heresy. It's not clear if Smart Pistol's Apex Legends iteration will work differently, but interestingly, it exists entirely in the file.
It is worth mentioning that this is the Titanfall 2 variant of the pistol MK6. Obviously, having permanent class and loot rarity will completely change the conversation.
There is no guarantee that it will succeed, as it may just be the remaining code. As with these types of leaks, we lack background information.
