Destiny 2 Yes Cross race, but not today.
roll out Destiny 2Last night’s “Stitching Season” began to waver.
When the server is back online after regular maintenance before the start of each season, players can quickly notice the long queue time. A report of a Honeydew error followed, which prevented the player from accessing new content.
Although the situation seems more severe this time, all of this is almost the usual practice of “Destiny” publishing quarterly. But the one thing players don’t expect is being able to play with friends on other platforms.
Of course, “Destiny 2” does not yet support cross-play, Bunge plans to officially launch this feature in the 13th season later this year. However, everything that happened behind the scenes this week allowed players to join Fireteams with friends on other platforms. In fact, at the time of writing, Destiny 2 can still use cross-play.
Unfortunately, this is not a soft start of this feature. Cozmo, Bungie’s chief community manager, revealed on Twitter that it was opened accidentally and will be closed later this week.
He said on Twitter: “We will implement a fix later this week to remove public access, but at the same time, you can participate at any time.”
We have seen reports that some players can peek at Crossplay.
This does not mean that it can be broadcast live, nor does it represent a complete experience. We will implement a fix later this week to remove public access, but in the meantime, please feel free to participate. https://t.co/CKOfg1Fpq6
