The Berlin games company Yager (Spec Ops: The Line) has been working on the free-to-play shooter The Cycle: Frontier for some time. After two beta tests the game now has a release date and it’s coming soon.
Berlin-based game developer Yager announced that their new free-to-play extraction shooter The Cycle: Frontier will be officially released on June 8th for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store. After two successful beta tests, the game starts into the preseason, in which you can extensively explore the world of Fortuna III.
Then, starting June 22nd, you’ll jump straight into Season 1 of The Cycle: Frontier with all the items and rewards included in the new version of Fortuna Pass, The Cycle’s exclusive Season Pass.
More than 900,000 players were able to give their feedback during various test phases, which was incorporated into the final game. Endgame PvE dungeons, weapon balancing and the new power progression are said to have benefited significantly from this.
In The Cycle: Frontier, you set out from your home base to raid the planet Fortuna III and face bloodthirsty beasts, radioactive storms, and other players also out for loot. Provided you survive and don’t lose everything, you use the captured resources to improve your equipment. In addition, reputation with different factions can be increased to unlock new objects.
