first trailer demon slayer Season 4 has arrived, and it’s mostly just snippets of what we’ve already seen, but it has established when we can expect to see the next season.
The third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ended earlier this year, covering the Sword Forging Village arc, paving the way for the next storyline, the Hashira Training arc. It was revealed over the weekend that the next season will air sometime in spring 2024, but a specific release date has not yet been provided. The trailer showed off some very small snippets of the next storyline, but one of the big things it announced was a global tour of a new movie called Demon Slayer: The Training of Jura. Now, this won’t cover the Mugen Train storyline like the 2020 Demon Slayer movie did. Instead, it will be like this year’s film “To the Swordsmith,” which is mostly just Season 2 footage, with some Season 3 footage thrown in at the end.
“Pillar Training” will follow a similar approach, airing the 11th and final episode of its third season as a one-hour special, concluding with the first episode of Pillar Training. The tour kicks off in Tokyo on February 2nd, before heading to cities like New York, Seoul, Mexico City, Paris, Taipei, and London, but with the exception of Tokyo, you’ll only visit each city once, so you’ll want to Please keep an eye out for tickets. This will also be your only chance to watch the first episode of Season 4 before it airs in the spring.
If you couldn’t tell from the title, next season we’ll see main character Tanjiro being trained by Hashira, the top demon slayer we’re constantly introduced to on the show. Unless they manage to extend the time, this could also be the penultimate season, as there’s only one big arc after season 4, so you’d better be emotionally prepared to move on in the near future.
