The Division 2 prepares to grow more than ever on March 3. The Ubisoft Shooter Looter returns to the city of the first game with a gigantic expansion, Warlords of New York. DLC announced this week that, for many, it opened the possibility of seeing the delivery unfolding 100% in the new generation, but nothing could be further from the truth. Those responsible for the game have confirmed that The Division 2 stays on PS4, Xbox One and PC
This expansion makes it clear that there is still much to discover with the second installment of The Division, however, Massive Entertainment wanted to make things clear in an interview with The Daily Star. For now "we do not contemplate porting the game to new platforms," says Yannick Banchereau, associate creative director of the study. To leave no doubt, Banchereau emphasizes that «We are not making a specific version for those consoles», pointing to ** PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X **.
For now, the team is focusing on improving the current version of The Division 2 to keep it up to the most demanding expectations. Although they still have plans to expand it for a while, right now its focus is precisely on these extensions, not in moving everything to new hardware.
It seems that the plans have been more than clear, however, it is important to keep in mind that it is a current plan, and that it is possible that the situation changes in the final stretch of the year. If the installed base of consoles is good, the port is not too expensive and the game continues to maintain a good audience, it is feasible that we end up watching The Division 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series X
