Alongside Steelrising, Nacon and Spiders have formalized GreedFall 2: The Dying World. Here’s the first info on the game along with a handful of images to go with the trailer.
Surprise, French studio Spiders is not working on one project… but on two! Steelrising, an action role-playing game set during the French Revolution with the particularity of having automata, and GreedFall 2: The Dying World. A “sequel” that will be released in a few years.
GreedFall 2: The Dying World for PS5, Xbox Series and PC
So, reassured by the success of their new franchise, Nacon and Spiders have announced GreedFall 2: The Dying World. A prequel set three years before the events of the previous game. You play as a native of Teer Fradee “Forcibly ripped from his island to be taken to the continent of Gacane“.
In this ancient world, torn by war, shattered by Malichor and the political conspiracies of the various factions, you must reclaim your freedom and retake the reins of your destiny. Using diplomacy, cunning, or combat, plus the help of the allies you gather, it’s up to you to put an end to the ambitions of conquest of a man who could tip the continent, like your island, toward its end.
It was Jehanne Rousseau, founder and boss of Spiders, who made this beautiful surprise during the Big Ben / Nacon Week 2022 conference.
While we’ve been working on Steelrising, our love for the GreedFall universe has never left us, and it’s a great pleasure for us to get back to it. In this new opus, players will discover the old continent with more varied and extensive landscapes, they will meet new companions and new factions, and I hope they will live unforgettable adventures there.

GreedFall 2: The Dying World will be available for PS5, Xbox Series and PC in 2024, according to the press release. In any case, the teams will take the necessary time and not rush things.
A first episode still relevant
To discover GreedFall, a charming but limited RPG, in the best conditions, you can take the plunge with the new generation PS5/Xbox Series patch. An update provided with The De Vespe Conspiracy expansion.
To date, Spiders has sold more than 2 million copies of the game – a very good feat that will allow the license to continue with the upcoming prequel.
