If you’ve been waiting for news on an Elden Ring adaptation beyond what George R.R. Martin vaguely teased us with on his blog, you’re in luck. A fan-made anime based on FromSoft’s work has just received a trailer ahead of its fall release.
Yes, you will soon have (at least) something ER-related to watch, and it won’t be really good lore videos (which will probably be 100 hours long) or super talented streamers slapping Messmer one-handed while eating snacks.

The trailer, which you can watch below, is for the fan-made Elden Ring animation currently being made by a team led by YouTuber Steins Alter, who decided earlier this year that enough was enough and they were going to make the Elden Ring animation a reality.
The trailer is only about 30 seconds long, not counting the end credits, but the team is aiming to make the full version five minutes long, currently scheduled for release in the fall of 2024.

So, how many of the bosses did you recognize? Even non-Elden Ringers should know Malenia, who pops up and introduces herself in a fairly polite manner. There’s also Maliketh walking around, Radagon just standing there, and Mohg doing a very anime-like jump next to Miquella’s egg, which we got a great photo of, especially if you like to stretch your arms out.
There was also a nice preview of the Messmer in Shadow of the Erdtree at the end, so it looks like we’ll be getting at least some DLC excitement via the snake boy.
If you’re still struggling through Shadow of the Erdtree and need some help taking down the big baddie at the end (data miners recently uncovered some of his deleted dialogue), be sure to check out our plethora of guides that should be able to help you out no matter what you need help with.
