The annual event The Elder Scrolls Online: Legacy of the Bretons is drawing to a close, but not without a bang. Bethesda is still pushing an extensive DLC.
You know the process from the annual events of The Elder Scrolls Online. It usually starts with an introductory quest, new dungeons, followed by a paid expansion, more content and a final quest. That hasn’t changed much with the current event, Legacy of the Bretons, and the High Isle expansion. The only surprise is that Zenimax Online is now adding a more extensive DLC.
ZeniMax Online Studios has now unveiled the Firesong DLC game pack, which includes 15 hours of stories centered around a new area, the mysterious island of Galen. That is significantly more than we are used to at the end of an annual event. Firesong will be available on November 1st for PC, Steam and Mac and on November 15th for Xbox and PlayStation.
In Firesong you will once again meet new characters, adversaries and plenty of political turmoil. As the year’s storyline draws to a close, you can also earn all-new collectibles and achievements, including a challenge to pet all of the island’s animals and find new unique item sets not found anywhere else in Tamriel.
The Firesong prologue is already available on all platforms. This only requires the main game of The Elder Scrolls Online, none of the previous DLCs and none of the chapters. In the prologue to Firesong you enter a story that will lead this year’s saga Legacy of the Bretons to a finale.
Apart from that, an event has now also started. Earn rewards and earn the High Island Pathfinder achievement in this year’s Heroes of High Island Game Event, which runs through Tuesday, October 11 at 4 p.m. There is enough incentive for this: if the achievement is achieved by the community together, Firesong will be released for free. To do your part, all you have to do is visit six marked locations – two on Amenos and four on High Island – in the game world.
