March 4 update: The announced balance patch with the endgame nerfs will be released today. First of all, however, there will be maintenance work from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. – afterwards you can try out the changes yourself.
Among other things, the damage and life points of various guardian raid bosses will be reduced and some mechanics in the abyss dungeons will be made easier.
The full patch notes can be found on the second page of this article.
Original message: While leveling and questing in Lost Ark is a real breeze, the difficulty increases massively at level 50. We already wrote in our test that Lost Ark will be too difficult for many players and they just don’t know it yet:

Apparently we should be right about this: A nerf to Guardian Raids and Abyss Dungeons has been announced for the next patch, scheduled for release on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
Lost Arks Endgame gets easier
Anyone who has already reached level 50 in Lost Ark will quickly notice how difficult the MMO really is: in the guardian raids you have to fight monstrous bosses, each of whom can draw on a variety of unique skills.
We captured the first and simplest of these fights, which by the way is not nerfed, in the video:

The abyss raids are even harder, as the bosses here also have many special moves and there are also sophisticated combat mechanics. If just one group member fails here, it often means the death of the whole party. Your patience can be put to the test here, especially with random players.
Amazon has now decided to make the following Guardian Raids and Abyss Dungeons easier:
Guardian Raids
- Virtues
- Nacrasena
- Flammenfuchs Yoho
- Tytalos
- Achates
- Alberhastic
Abyss Dungeons
- Origin of the Necromancer
- Hall of the Twisted Warlord
- Hildebrandt Palace
- Sea of Sloth
Amazon cites internal statistics as the reason for the nerf, which suggest extremely low success rates in the specified content: According to community manager Roxx, certain raids or dungeons should only 10 percent

Many players prefer the challenge
No sooner has Amazon announced the planned nerfs than there is already extensive criticism of the project. The decision has been harshly criticized in the Lost Ark forum.
So writes about Champxnge, his criticism has already received over 1,500 replies:
(…) I would like to add that this literally takes the FUN out of the game. It feels so good to finally beat a boss or raid after doing it for 30+ min or whatever. Nerfing things after 3 weeks is so lame.
You have to make friends, use the group finder, learn the mechanics, understand the systems instead of jumping into a PUG and expecting everyone to be the best in the game. Because let’s be 100% honest, most people who pugg are super casual and they’re the same people who complain that it’s heavy.
Lost Ark streamer Stoopzz also thinks the nerf is a mistake:

A survey he conducted on Twitch with around 1,400 participants shows that only 8 percent of his viewers consider the current content too difficult.
how do you see it? Is the early nerf just three weeks after release justified? Or have you not reached the endgame at all? Let us know what you think in the comments!
