We rated the survival horror game a very good 85 back then.
As is typical of Resident Evil, you look over the protagonist’s shoulder as you steer him through increasingly crazier and disgusting scenes. Of course, as with the original, you have to pay attention to the scarce ammunition and use the sparsely distributed healing items well. What is new, however, is that you can improve Sebastian’s skills over the course of the game. Among other things, you can increase his stamina, which is alarmingly low for a police officer, give him more energy or reload faster.
